Pets and children are better together. As children are spending more time at home with their pets during the quarantine, the bond they share with them is strengthened. Most importantly, children are given a sense of purpose in these uncertain times by being involved in their pet’s care. After watching a relevant video, our second-graders created wonderful projects, presenting the ways in which they take care of their pets. They feed them, they wash them, and they keep them active and engaged through games. Together, we found another reason to look on the bright side of quarantine!
